The Kiklifit Snow Sports Day in Grindelwald - supported by the CCF

A day in the snow that inspires courage

Brilliant sunshine, perfect snow conditions, and an atmosphere full of energy: the Kiklifit Snow Sports Day in Grindelwald offered participating children and adolescents a truly special experience. We are delighted to support this important programme.

The event was designed specifically for children and young people whose daily lives are heavily affected by cancer and the often long and intensive treatments that come with it. For many of them, a day like this means: after months, sometimes even years of therapy, simply being able to enjoy the snow again, laugh, try new things, and celebrate small but meaningful successes.

These moments are far more than just leisure activities. They encourage movement, strengthen self‑confidence, and enable social interactions in an environment that feels light and empowering. Such experiences are proven to have a positive impact on psychological wellbeing and can support the healing process.

Why experiences like this matter

Children diagnosed with cancer often spend long periods in hospital or in highly structured therapy programmes. Everyday life, school, sports, and friendships quickly fade into the background. This makes it all the more important to provide them with spaces where they can rediscover their physical abilities and experience moments of achievement.

The Kiklifit Snow Sports Day enables exactly that:

  • Moving freely and recharging energy
  • Showing courage and trying new things
  • Experiencing community – without performance pressure
  • Simply having fun, something that often comes too short during treatment

These moments stay with the children, their families, and everyone involved.

Our thanks to the organisers

Our heartfelt thanks go to the dedicated Kiklifit team, who organised the day with expertise, sensitivity, and excellent coordination. The event demonstrates how impactful well‑designed support programmes for children with cancer can be.

We are already looking forward to the next joint activity: the Kiklifit Summer Day, which we will once again be pleased to support.
